WRDA Workshop - Hosted by Van Scoyoc Associates

Congress will launch its regular two-year cycle for the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) in the coming months. As you know, WRDA is the primary vehicle for authorizing Corps of Engineers programs and projects, as well as establishing Corps water resources policy. Our DC insiders, John Anderson and Geoff Bowman of Van Scoyoc Associates, will provide an overview of WRDA and offer guidance and insights on how to engage during development of WRDA legislation. Please plan to attend this virtual workshop on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. CDT.

Generally, John and Geoff will cover the following:

What is WRDA? Why bother?

What is the most effective way to engage in bill development?

What issues might have high visibility in this cycle?

How does Section 7001(WRDA 2014) play into WRDA?

What’s our timeframe?

If you are interested in attending the virtual workshop, please RSVP to davem@nationalwatersupply.org. A meeting appointment and sign-in information will be distributed a few days prior to the event.
