Michael Connor nominated to become ASACW

On April 27, 2021, President Biden nominated Michael Connor to serve as the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works (ASACW). Upon confirmation, Mr. Connor will oversee the Corps of Engineers civil works program and guide policy direction for its water resources activities.


Mr. Connor has an extensive public service record on water resources issues, including counsel for the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, Commissioner of the Bureau of Reclamation, and Deputy Secretary of the Department of Interior.


Confirmation hearings have not yet been scheduled. In the meantime, Jaime Pinkham is serving as Acting ASACW.
