Major General Scott Spellmon confirmed as 55th Chief of Engineers

On July 20, 2020, the United States Senate confirmed Major General Scott A. Spellmon as the 55th Chief of Engineers, U.S. Army. MG Spellmon, nominated in January 2020 by President Trump, succeeds Lieutenant General Todd Semonite. MG Spellmon continues a successful and decorated career with the Army, most recently serving as the Deputy Commanding General - Civil and Emergency Operations at Corps of Engineers headquarters. MG Spellmon is directly involved and has been instrumental in elevating water supply issues at the Corps. NWSA looks forward to continued engagement with MG Spellmon in his new role.
