House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee drafts bill on wastewater and water quality

Last week, Van Scoyoc Associates identified a House T&I initiative to authorize $50 million of direct infrastructure investment for wastewater and water quality related projects. The bill ostensibly is in parallel with the Senate EPW effort on wastewater assistance as described in March 1, 2021 edition of The Spillway. The House bill will address only wastewater issues, however, as the T&I Committee does not have jurisdiction over drinking water programs.
