Drought Forum to be held in September

NWSA has been invited to participate in the Southwest Drought Virtual Forum to be held on several days, September 21-22 and September 28-29, 2021. The forum is hosted by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Integrated Drought Information System (NIDIS).

The forum will assemble stakeholders, decision-makers, and drought experts for a cross cutting dialogue on long-term implications of drought in the Southwestern United States, response and relief efforts across levels of government and sectors, with the goal of supporting communities and building long-term drought resilience in the region.

Despite its focus on the southwestern U.S., the discussions and insights throughout the various sessions can inform water resources managers across the country. If you are interested in participating in the forum, visit the Southwest Drought Forum webpage to register for free. The webpage can be found at https://www.southwestdroughtforum.com/
